Description: This copper-plate engraving "A Perspective View of the Ruins of Kirstall (Kirkstall) Abbey near Leeds" was "Engraved for the Universal Magazine, I Hinton at the King's Arms in Newgate Street." It is in quite good condition for the age of this old print, about 1770, a good strong impression, trimmed close to the image sides, publication line intact. Some vertical creases (where folded as original, originally folded into a magazine or other publication?). Also remains of an old tape mark in the border, most of which could be mounted over so will not show when framed. This is an original antique engraving and is not a reproduction. It is unframed.
