Description: Russian FSB (Federal Security Service) Medal for Distinction in Military Service, 2nd class.The medal is in brass with silver finish, very nicely made. Measures approx. 33 mm wide. The obverse has raised inscription “For Distinction in Military Service” and Roman numeral “II”. The reverse has inscription “Federal Security Service of Russian Federation”. The medal was established in 1997 to award FSB active duty servicemen with no less than 15 years of irreproachable service. The example we are offering is an OLD medal, no less than 10-15 years of age, not a modern issue (note for example the wider style of the shield in the State Security emblem of shield and sword, nicer finish and sharper details than on some of the medals we currently see on the market.)The medal is in great condition.
