Member of the Union of Artists of Israel and Ukraine. Boris Yakovlevich Khenkin was born in 1946 in Odessa. Graduated from the Art and Industry Institute in Kharkov (KhKhPI). Collaborated with the publishing house "Plakat"; author of socio-political posters: "In the name of peace and communist construction!" (1977), “These forces threaten the world!”, “USA”, “We have defended the world, we will defend the world!” (1984), “We will keep the working word, we will fulfill the tasks of the party!” (the last two were performed jointly by M. M. Pogrebensky, 1986). Participated in the international competition "For peace, humanism, against the threat of nuclear war" (1984). Two posters submitted for the competition were published in the catalog published by the Plakat publishing house in 1985. Several times Boris Khenkin held personal and repeatedly took part in various group exhibitions, including international ones, both in Israel and in the republics of the former USSR.
