Has two doors on the bottom with nice 20" x 30" storage and shelves on top to showcase your stuff. There is no cheap particle board used in any of our furniture. Everything is solid pine wood and rustic hand-peeled logs. Shelves are solid pine and will hold up a lot of weight. Area inside the bottom doors is about 20" x 30"The two bookshelves are 3/4" thick We choose to work with lodgepole pine as it grows naturally in the forests of NW montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed. Then each log is hand peeled, using the skip-peel method where some of the inner bark is left on the logs, creating a beautiful rustic piece of furniture for your home, lodge or cabin.
