(The production would open December 5th, 1955 at the Royale Theatre in New York City and run for 486 performances.) ..... Best known as the source of the JERRY HERMAN musical comedy hit "HELLO, DOLLY!", the play starred RUTH GORDON as "Mrs. Dolly Gallagher Levi", EILEEN HERLIE and LORING SMITH as "Horace Vandergelder" and featured ARTHUR HILL, ESME CHURCH, ROSAMUND GREENWOOD, PETER BAYLISS and PATRICK McALINNEY .....
