Description: This is a SABA RCR-426 from 1981. It's basically a Sanyo M-X620 that was re-styled for the German market. The sound quality is strong and clean, with very good bass and treble. The tuner works good on FM and AM. I can pick up a few shortwave stations as well. The cassette deck needs service. FF and RW work, but if you press Play or Record it will lock up.There is an "Aux In" port on the back, and it works good. I was using it in the video, with my iPod and a DIN cable. To do this, you need to put the function switch on Cassette, and engage Play/Pause. Cosmetically it's pretty clean, with a couple rust spots on the left grill. The antenna is original and complete. The battery terminals are clean. The APFS/mute switch above the left speaker seems to have lost its internal spring or ball bearing, because the switch just kind of floats without any firm selections. So the APFS song-search feature is just permanently on. The voltage is 220, so Americans will need to use a voltage converter, or just use eight D-cell batteries. You will receive the boombox, service manual, and a power cable. No batteries or cassette tapes are included.
