But the olive oil's only after the stearic acid does its job so that it has high stability first and foremost; you’ll be hard pressed to find, by any maker, an unstable shaving soap if “Potassium Stearate” is the first ingredient. They just cost a bit more to run, because your burn rate of soap per shave’s always elevated; it is a tradeoff, but *most* soap’s pretty inexpensive by any per-use measure (some soft ‘an American in their kitchen’ ~croaps can actually be pretty high cost per session, as in >$0.50/shave). This is milled soap, too, so you’re not buying a bunch of water. Sold in wax paper as a stand alone disc, an environmentally-friendly, no-waste type of deal.
