Description: Sailing Nautical Motif Antique Tin Expanding Collapsing Cup Aluminum 1940-50s. Charming, decorative and practical - this cup can be a 2.5” dia disk when closed or a 2.75” T cup with a lid. My research indicates these were used by school children, scouts ( boys & girls ) and probably boat passengers / owners too! Lovely design of 2 sailboats on the water with clouds and rocks as if looking through a porthole window. Cup is old and shows wear. Some bent edges on the bottom as shown in photos. It works, nonetheless, and has a very small “Made N USA” stamp on the bottom. Total Americana and a perfect gift for a child because it is small and can hardly break or an adult who owns a yacht / new boat or is a sailing enthusiast!!
