Description: This item is a jaunty sailor dress with a matching beret, made in the USA by Dorissa. The dress is navy blue with red piping and the beret is white with navy piping and a bright red pom pom on top. This is really a cute set. I estimate that it dates to the 1970's. The cap has a great old union label. The dress has a large sailor collar and is styled with a dropped waist and a please skirt. The skirt is set off with piping and two brass buttons. The large sailor collar has a button off chest panel to hold it in place. The scarf is completely removable. It is a silky red fabric which is probably polyester. It is doubled and all edges are nicely finished. The sleeves are long and puffed and the cuffs also have red piping. This dress is labeled a 6X and measures as follows: shoulders: 21" around chest: 26" around length: 26 1/2" The dress and the hat are free of st tains or damage. No holes. A really cute set for a portrait or everyday wear.
