The bodice of the dress opens up to help the dress expand as your child grows, or to make it easier to get dressed. Down the front are two boning strips to make sure that when it's laced closed, there is no bunching. It laces closed with soft laces so that it can be gentle against their skin. These measurements are taken at full closure. As the sizing allows for it to adjust, it can fit those who are larger as well. It could also fit girls who are smaller than the given measurements (with the exception of the length of course).
