DESCRIPTION:For sale is this very nice piece of local southern New Hampshire early mercantile advertising in the form of a canvas product sample made into an October 1922 calendar for 'Salesforce For Milford Canvas' of Milford, NH. It was found right here in Milford, NH and was rolled up inside a tube found in the basement of a home. It has some minor to moderate staining that runs horizontally along its mid-section and what appears to be some kind of red lined pattern or clothing form superimposed over the green ink stamped typography of the calendar. The canvas product of the Milford, NH textile company is actually the backdrop for the entire October 1922 calendar. The canvas is now tanned in color and is moderately coarse, meaning it could have been then used in the production of pants, vests, suit jackets and other at that time fashionable linen work-related clothing items, as well as recreational clothing. The upper and lower edges are trimmed with tin metal strips. The top of the calendar has two hanging tabs and a string for which to hang on a wall. A terrific early 20th century southern New Hampshire mercantile artifact that is now 99 years old. Scarce and a true relic of Milford, NH's manufacturing past. Terrific. CONDITION: Fair to Good overall vintage condition.
