Description: A rare sammelband collection of 12 sermons from the 17th and 18th centuries, printed from 1643-1758 in Northern England. Book measures 6.5"x8"x1" with half-binding and raked marble paper. Manuscripts date to between 1643 and 1758. Bound between 1758 (the date of last sermon) and 1919 (the death of suspected binder). A beautiful Ex Libris of Richard Welford inside front cover. Richard Welford (1836-1919) was a Newcastle upon Tyne historian, biographer, and antiquary. The book was acquired by a George Bowman in 1920, possibly the Mayflower historian and genealogist George Bowman (1860-1941).Contents: 1.
