I own many knives of many styles and from the budget to the very expensive and this budget Sanrenmu is one of my all-time favorites. Sanrenmu is one of my favorite brands. They make both budget and high-end knives but put as much care and innovation into design and build with their budget lineup as they do with their high-end stuff. This one is perfect example. Has build quality and features that many more expensive knives do not have. One that stands out to me is the ingenious and perfectly functioning blade lock feature. The thumb stud on this knife does double duty and needs a very slight push down to release the blade. Perfect feature when combined with the carabiner clip that assures that you knife does not deploy accidently. Other features that are almost unheard of in such a budget knife are brass washers, a sharpening choil and blade jimping. On top of that you get compact lightweight (2.2 ounce) yet very useful sized knife with a great utilitarian blade design. Build quality and fit and finish are stellar when considering price. Blade centering is perfect, and the knife is very solid when open with no blade play. Action is very smooth right out of the box. Carabiner clip is robust and mine has taken abuse in saltwater fishing environments and still functions. Great gift for youself or any knife lover from the grandkid to the granddad and my wife even wants one of these at hand.
