Sansevieria trifasciata species, not a hybrid, has tall sword like but also wider than many other type leaves that are dark pine green with transverse bands of pale, whitish green. Especially shows well when in taller pots. Habitat is dry, sunny to partial shade with quick draining soil. Sanserveria are native to Madagascar and Africa.While other great house plant release oxygen during the day Sansevieria perform a specific type of photosynthesis at night thus plants release oxygen throughout the night. Plants are prepared for shipping which includes for most a day of hydrating followed by a day to allow plants to dry. Plants like Tillandsia and Vanda orchids need to be completely dry prior to boxing. Shipping damp in a warm dark place increases chance for fungus to develop. Recommend you always do preventative treatment on any plant shipped and then water thoroughly to rehydrate.
