Description: Sanyo RP5050 AM FM Transistor Radio Serviced Vintage VTG Works Excellent This radio came 11/23/2020 completely silent. I found the problem to be an open voice coil in the speaker. I replaced the speaker. It is my habit to replace all the capacitors in most of the old radios I sell. If someone buys a radio from me, I want it work at full performance for a long time. I replaced all of this radio’s capacitors. It works excellent on both bands. It receives weak AM channels without issue. FM also works perfect and receives the weak stations in my area without the antenna extended. Extended, it works even better. The cabinet shows some wear, but it isn’t beat up or abused. The antenna is in perfect condition. Volume goes from totally silent to overload blazing loud. It has a big frequency dial which makes it easy to select stations. This is one of my favorite old, non-IC radios. The same models I’ve had come across my service bench are usually more beat up than this one. It has some scratches in its stainless, but otherwise looks good. Serviced by Karl means: I repair whatever is wrong and make sure the radio is working correctly.
