Description: Sarreguemines Marines Series Blue Transferware Faience Deep Plate C. 1890-1918 C Nice blue and white faience deep plate / rimmed soup bowl from the Marines series. Depicts a boat on water. Marked on the reverse Marines Faianceries Sarreguemines. This mark was used by Utzscheider & Co between 1890 and 1918. Has crazing typical of faience, some light staining of the type that may soak out, but otherwise good condition with no additional flakes, chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 3/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. CS GM
