The image is 7 1/4 by 10 1/2 inches and the full sheet is about 11 1/2 by 16 inches. Although not numbered, editions of Rabino are typically very small. Saul Rabino (1892-1969) was a Russian born artist who moved to Los Angeles in 1932 and remained there for the rest of his life. His first American works were social realist lithographs created under the WPA banner and are reminiscent of Reginald Marsh. In the late 1930s he was commissioned to do a series of Jewish religious works and apparently continued to create them for many years. He printed his lithographs in black and white and hand colored a few of these. Rabino is extremely well known and listed. Similar images may be seen on the Internet. This print will be shipped flat.
