The front panel of the striking original full colour dustwrapper has been neatly fixed to the front endpaper. Condition: A pleasing very good plus copy. Faint colour variation to cloth, minor rubbing to spine ends with tiny frays. Binding very firm. Pages clean and bright though title page has some fox (likely a chemical reaction to the glossy frontispiece). A date in 1920 pencilled in by a former owner to title page. The dustwrapper panel is fresh and bright. The photos are the best guide to condition. Context: A lovely copy of a charming book, featuring the investigation of weird mysteries by the occult sleuth Morris Klaw, who solves them by sleeping at the scene of crimes and dreaming their explanation. Klaw's beautiful young daughter Isis adds an extra dimension of sensuality to the proceedings. The first two printings only were produced in this format. Later editions feature different (cheaper) materials and variant dustwrappers. A key supernatural title in the Sax Rohmer canon. Highly collectable by virtue of the dustwrapper.
