Description: These machines are modeled after the vintage 225-type excavators of the 1970s, built in my garage workshop using natural materials. The model is finished with shellac and wax and is overall slightly rustic. The grouser tracks are a combination of pine and leather for better scaled appearance (not really meant for carpet "play", however they are movable and will tolerate small amounts of handling), and the entire model is finished off with copper railings. The boom, stick and bucket all have a prototypical range of movement and the excavator pivots 360+ degrees. The entire boom/stick is removable with a philips-head screwdriver and the bucket is reversible if the small pins are carefully removed and replaced. The cab features an operator's seat and simple control joystick details that are extremely fragile. The cab will be masked off during shipping for damage prevention. Model features small parts and this item is not suitable for children. The model is roughly 36" long, 10" wide and 15" high and weighs in at over 7 pounds. No specific scale was used but it may be close to 1/12 or 1/10 scale. The model is intended for display purposes. This is not meant to be a children's toy but the materials and construction make an inevitable repair easier using simple glues and clamps. I've made a few of these machines for my own children!
