Description: This auction is for a scarce 1930's Roseville art pottery Pinecone pattern bowl. This lovely piece was purchased from a Baltimore County estate. This is an excellent example Roseville Pinecone pattern bowl. The Pinecone pattern originated by Roseville pottery in 1936. It has an organic form, with an offset sloped rim and a pair of dainty twig-formed handles, (see pics). It depicts pinecones flanked by sprigs of long flowing pine needles in relief. This example is decorated in a soft orangey brown colored matte glaze with the inside of the bowl in a rich green glaze. This nice bowl measures 3 5/8" tall with a handle-to-handle distance of 6 7/8", a rim diameter of 5 7/8" and a base diameter of 2 5/8". It is signed on the bottom Roseville 320-5", which is a scarce mold form. The condition is excellent condition with no chips. There are mild signs of crazing. All in all, a lovely example and to be a fine addition to your Roseville art pottery collection/fine decor. Please check my other auctions for nice antiques, collectables and such.
