MOVEMENT: Omega, 321 17 jewel mechanical hand-winding. COMMENTS: This watch is a true rarity one of the earliest of it's type just a few years older than the first Speedmasters ever released. This particular watch, Reference 2998-3 c. 1960, is distinguishable due to its large Alpha hour and minute hands as well as smaller white Alpha-style hands used for the subsidiary register counters. The watch itself is entirely original condition yet is missing the original band, this 2998 is one of the rarest Omegas we've come across, without relumed hands or a refinished case. Its case back is in great condition with an easily legible Hippocampus logo - it comes fitted with its original barrel pushers, crown, and a genuine Hesalite crystal. The original Base 500 "DO90" bezel shows a bit of wear, around the edges but this is common as it is a soft material. The 321 movement in the watch has been oiled but did not require a service - the watch and all functions work flawlessly. The item you see in this listing is the exact item that you will receive.
