It is an SEI Exposure Photometer. Not many of these around anymoreIt is of course a light meter. It is one of the most accurate reflected-light meters ever manufactured.Its maker is Salford Electrical Instruments (SEI) in the United Kingdom from the late 1940's thru the early 1960's.It used to compare the brightness of a subject with the brightness of a lamp inside the meter. As the lamp’s brightness is predetermined, the brightness of the subject can be assessed and translated into correct exposure.This 1950s SEI Photographic Exposure Spot Photometer is a very rare piece of vintage Photographic/Cinematographic equipment.
