Description: For your consideration is a January 1972 6105-8119 diver. Otherwise known as the “Captain Willard". Perhaps the most highly sought after Seiko diver's watch. All components are completely original to the watch. The crystal is replacement Type I| Hardlex from Klein and an Uncle Straps Waffle is included with the sale. From the site where the watch was purchased July, 2024: Condition The watch is completely original unto itself with minor wear commensurate with the age. The dial and hands are good condition and retain their original luminous material. The dial and case back dates are separated by a few months. This watch has received a full service. That process includes a full cleaning and evaluation of all movement components and proper lubrication. The crown was mechanically rebuilt to replace the o-ring gasket. Lubricants used were Moebius synthetic varieties appropriate for this watch movement type. The movement has two custom produced, American made jewels in the ports of the barrel arbor. The amplitude of the balance wheel is 230 range and the rate is (+/-) 2 sec/day. The case back and crown all have new, and factory correct seals.
