It has always had a black edge guard on it and I added some lead tape on top of the edge guard. The edge guard has some scuffs on it, but the paddle is perfect underneath. The paddle also has a fresh, brand new Gamma over grip. The original grip is underneath, paddle has always had an over grip since new! ***I will include a new edge guard and some more lead tape so you can replace those if you want! *** This is the best control paddle on the market, it WILL improve your game.
