The S80 is widely regarded as one of the best all-around mouthpieces for intermediate to advanced level players. This piece is ideally suited for all varieties of 'legit' music, such as concert/symphonic band, orchestra, sax quartet/chamber ensemble, and solo classical performance. It will also work for jazz and contemporary styles in a pinch. The C* facing is the most popular. It is more open at the tip than a typical 'stock' or student level mouthpiece, but not so much as to be difficult to control. This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. The facing is perfectly smooth, and original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. The rubber shows minor fading as seen in the pictures, which is purely cosmetic in nature. The logo/marking are clear. There is barely a scratch on the exterior. This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized. These sell for around $150 for a brand new one on ebay, and the cost at a brick-and-mortar music store is much higher.
