Description: Today I have up for consideration a Beautiful Vintage RS - Erdmann Schlegelmilch China, Serving Bowl . This Bowl stands 2-3/8" tall & is 9-3/8" diameter at the rim. The Bowl has a Cream background with Pink Roses & Deep Pink & Yellow flowers with Green leaves & stems with a decorative design in Gold. Please look at pictures - they are part of the description! This pattern was Discontinued & only available from 1904 - 1938. This piece was made in Germany. The Stamp reads- "RS Silesia" The History of RS - Erdmann Schlegelmilch China It had been thought that Reinhold & Erdmann were brothers who jointly owned a factory at Suhl, Germany. When in fact there were two different factories in Suhl. As it turns out Reinhold & Erdmann were in direct competition with each other! Erdmann's factory was founded & was originally owned by Leonhard Schlegelmilch. Later, Oscar, Julius Martin & Carl Schlegelmilch had a hand in owning & running the factory. Oscar Shlegelmich eventually started his won factory in Langenwiesen & Julius eventually took over the ownership operation in 1899.
