Description: This listing is for a set of two (2) 10.5" dinner plates, shown in the photos. Beautiful, quality stoneware handmade by Otagiri in the Horizon pattern. Made in Japan, this classic and rustic stoneware is durable. Dark gray and cobalt blue stripes surround the warm gray chocolate chip background. Freezer to oven, microwave and dishwasher safe, these chip resistant, high fired stoneware clay plates will provide many years of enjoyment and I'm proof of that. We've used these plates for years and they still look fantastic. The matte glaze is soft to the touch and tough enough for every day use. Each piece is hand thrown and decorated. No two pieces are identical. Glazes are food-safe, non-toxic and 100% lead free. No chips, cracks, repairs or food stains on these plates. Although there are utensil marks on the surface consistent with age and use. There are also some "rust" stains on the back which may be due to a dishwasher detergent I was using.
