Description: Item #3030 - These 4 thin sections were cut from a Uruguay amethyst geode. The pieces were cut from the rind of the geode, and so you see the crystals and the agate that they were attached to. The sections are polished on both sides, but not on the ends. I hand ground the ends and coated them so they look finished. They are ready to make into jewelry pendants etc. While people buy these for specimens, they are mostly used for jewelry. See the extra pictures of how sections are made into jewelry. This lot weighs 1.65 ounces (46g). The sections are approximately 4 cm (1 5/8 inches), and the thickness varies from about 4 to5 mm.
