Description: The memoir of his historical travels and travails in Arabia in the early 20th century, this is T.E. Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom in its first published edition by Doubleday in 1935 (It was privately published in 1926). Considering the book's age of 89 years, its in surprisingly good shape. All pages are intact, no tears, folds, things written in the margins or highlighted, and the binding is intact and strong. Pages are rough-cut. Note there is a split in the cloth cover along where the front cover meets the spine (see photos). It's in quite good shape overall. No dust jacket. Also an important document of his time in the area and the brilliant leadership he brought to the people of the region, so brilliantly depicted in the film Lawrence of Arabia.
