There is a waterstain on the top of the end leaf and the top and edge of the first leaf. Other than that the pages are in very good condition. No rips, writing, or foxing. There are 685 pages in volume 1. Volume 2 is split at the top and bottom of the spine. There is a chip at the top of the spine with loss of gilding at top and the bottom. Also on the raised bands. There is a stain on the front and back of the second leaf. Along the very top of the first and second there is a slight stain. Other than that the pages are in very good condition with no rips, writing, or otherwise. There are 724 pages in volume 2. Ask any questions before purchasing.
