Description: Sheaffer Bakelite Desk Base. New Old Stock Sheaffer Lever Fill Fountain Pen with barrel stickers. One of the cleanest bases we’ve seen. No cracks, discoloration, or damage aside from very faint swirl scratches - see images. “Sheaffer’s” sticker is excellent. 14k Medium #3 nib. Note: the fountain pen has NOT been serviced in our shop. The lever is firm against the barrel, meaning the bladder has hardened inside the barrel. Forcing the lever to raise can damage it. If you plan to use the pen it will need the bladder replaced prior. Note: only detraction to note is an extremely slight barrel/ taper fitment variation where the taper has contracted or the barrel expanded. Taper may have an extremely subtle bow at the very tip.
