They are known for their innovative filling mechanisms, and their iconic, inlaid diamond nib design. This particular pen is in great condition for its age. The pen has been fully restored to working condition. The touchdown filling system functions as if it were new. There is a 90-Day warranty on service work. A note about the Sheaffer Touchdown Filling System: This filling mechanism functions similarly to a vacuum filler. To fill this pen, unscrew the rear knob and pull out the mechanism. Then, insert the nib into your ink bottle, and push the mechanism back in. Allow the nib to remain in the ink bottle for 5-10 seconds before removing it. Now, twist the knob to the closed position and pat the nib dry with a lint free cloth.
