The watch features a meticulously crafted cloisonné enamel dial, made by artisans who create each piece individually, giving every dial its own unique character that changes with different angles and lighting. Due to the high failure rate during the production process—over 90% of cloisonné dials break during manufacturing—production has since been discontinued, making this model rare and limited in availability.Shellman produced a total of four editions of their cloisonné dials, with only 1,350 watches ever made in total. This particular watch is from the first edition.The watch has received international acclaim, and in 2002, it was permanently exhibited at the International Watchmaking Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.In September 2024, the battery was replaced, and the settings were adjusted at Shellman.
