Offered: one pair of pre-owned , SiDi Ergo 3 Carbon Vent road shoes, size 43 Euro, Mens US- 9 Medium (D) width ( not Mega wide, not Slim) . The black size markings on outer-tongue can be seen on second to last picture , and bottoms of sole are engraved "43". See last picture for Sidi shoe size chart ( which indicates closer to a 9 size). Shoes are meant to mount any road 3-bolt cleats /pedals such as LOOK, Time, Shimano SL pedals . Vernice White color with white mesh. . Perfect for year long riding. Please be sure this size is for you. Shoes retailed for around $400 when new. Great upper buckles and a nice stiff Carbon sole! Made in Italy, ( not Romania , like most mid-lower tier Sidi shoes)Cleat bolt pattern on bottom is a 3-boltFull carbon Vent sole Replaceable bottom heel pads, top buckle/strap, instep, Tecno-2 buckles, red Vent slider, and heel-cup outer tensioner.Adjustable Heel Cup tensioner (great for holding your foot firmly in place, great for pedal stroke from 6 0'clock to 12 o'clock up-stroke and walking)Upper replaceable buckles and middle techno-2 buckles enclosures. Condition wise, I'd say these shoes are cosmetically in Good+ condition( please see my condition rating system below ), and functionally they are very-good. The main condition mark against these shoes would be the Right shoe outer side /edge has a top layer Vernice scrap /scuff which can be seen in a few pictures ( does not go thru the shoe , no hole in that area). The Left middle Tecno-2 buckle doesn't loosen or tighten properly ( this is a replaceable part / fixable ) , but the buckle position is in the middle to tight spot ( cannot be loosened much, or tightened much). The Right tecno-2 buckle red dial outer edge is scraped / filed down ( still functions fine). The toe tips are in general in nice shape , small area of chipping on Right shoe ( see picture #9 shows it well). Inner heel fabric is dirty /soiled ( see pictures, not as bright white as new) , but I've washed this area well already, so much of the dirt /grease has come out and I doubt they can get much cleaner. Replaceable rubber heel pads have about 60-70% rubber remaining) , this is a $4 -$9 replaceable part , and carbon soles on both shoes have very light scratches (nothing deep, no issues) from mounting/dismounting pedals. No through cuts/ rips, or gashes in the uppers. Cleat threads have been re-greased, and good to go. Shoes come with used stock blue Sidi insoles. Please see pictures. Retailed for $400 msrp when new.The shoes have been hand washed delicately, and detailed with a very soft tooth-brush, and set out to naturally air dry in a cool/shaded area. I personally do not detect any "smells" from these shoes, however please preface this with the fact that the owner is buying a used pair of shoes (so they will not smell 100% like when they were new).____________________________++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++________________________ Condition rating scale:*New: never used*Like new: used on 1-2 rides, cosmetically and functionally perfectly fine, close to new but not quite. *Excellent: used, no major condition marks (i.e. no cuts in the fabric) and fully functional (no missing parts), possibly 1-2 minor condition marks, not quite like new.*Very Good: used, a few minor cosmetic condition marks (i.e. scrapes/scratches on bottom of sole, toe and side of shoe are has minor rubs/scuffing), however condition marks do not affect functionality of the shoes to be tools for your feet, fully functional otherwise. Tons of life left in them, but not perfect cosmetically *Good: used, a step down from a very-good condition shoe, in that there may be one major condition mark, and several cosmetic condition marks (i.e. worn sole from walking/general riding, scrapes/scuffing of the outer shoe material, cosmetic small details that are imperfections caused by usage and/or came from the shoe factory that way, etc), however shoes are fully functional in every way. Lots of life left in the shoes, but not perfect cosmetically. *Fair: well used and they show it cosmetically, higher usage of wear to the soles, possibly one rip of the fabric on the interior and/or exterior. Several cosmetic condition marks. Otherwise, shoes are still functional to be used. *Poor: : very well used, several condition marks (mainly at least one tear/rip in the outer and inner fabric of the shoe), and possibly not functional to some degree (a buckle and/or strap missing, heal pad missing, etc). Shoes need to be overhauled with 1+ new/used parts to make them functional again. ****************___________________*****************************_________________***********************_______________**************Side note: white shoes tend to exhibit wear (mainly cosmetic condition wear) at a higher rate then other colors. Depending upon the shoe, if there is white plastics used it will eventually slightly yellow (and possibly get darker in yellow color), no matter if you ride in the rain, or if it is a fair weather riding shoe (the sun does chemically change the composition / pigment of the plastics (certain grade of plastic this will affect, but not all plastics), and accelerates the color pigment of white/clear plastic by turning it yellow. This goes for all manufactures, Sidi, Shimano, Specialized, Diadora, etc. Please be aware of that before bidding, and for future long term care of your shoes. **Well taken care of cycling shoes can/ do last 5+ years (in some cases, road shoes 10+ years), unlike street shoes. Take care of your shoes, and your shoes will take care of your feet. A properly fit cycling shoe is the #1 best performance move that you can make on your body for three main reasons : 1. The right shoe will help lesson the effects of the foot/pedal contact pressure point on the bike while riding. The proper sized/fit shoe will increase your comfort factor while riding. 2. Given the above #1 , your foot heath will increase = your health is your wealth. 3. In regards to energy transmission while pedaling, the right shoe will increase ones wattage /power transmission to the pedals. Find the right shoe / pedal combination, and you'll majorly step up your game on the bicycle. Gasoline sucks, ride a bike !!Sizing information: see my last picture for Sidi shoe size chart.
