The play opened in Baltimore in 1932, with a cast featuring Walter Connolly, Adelaide Bean, William Lawson and Clarence Derwent. Adapted for film in 1933 (as "Christopher Bean"), directed by Sam Wood and starring Marie Dressler and Lionel Barrymore.
