Description: Vintage Sierra King's Quest IV The Perils of Rosella Poster Fall/Winter 1988 Description Up for sale is a vintage Sierra King's Quest IV The Perils of Rosella fold out Poster which also features an interview with the game's designer Roberta Williams on the back of it. I'm not exactly sure as to where this page came off of... but it was obviously in a magazine at one point; as the pages on the back are numbered 14 and 15 respectively, and the only clue that's left on these pages is that it hails from a Fall/Winter issue from 1988. I don't believe it's from any Sierra Newsletter, but it may have been from something entirely unrelated; like say Time Life or Newsweek, but I could definitely be way off on that one. There's also a chance that it might have been from the magazine that I believe was called Video Games and Computer Entertainment, if I remember correctly. Either way, I really can't say for sure where this interview and poster came from. The other print out included in this lot is an ad for King's Quest VI on CD-ROM which has an ad on the back of it for tax software (i.e. CA-Simply Tax). This print out ad looks like something that may have been included with Sierra branded software from back in the day, but I can't really say for certain where it came from; as it was just found in a pile of vintage computer related ads and print outs which I'm currently in the process of putting up for sale. The CA-Simply Tax side of the ad has an offer printed in fine print which is (or was) valid through April 15th, 1994... which either puts this ad as being from late 1993 or early 1994. The condition of these two prints is pretty good, considering their overall age and whatnot... however, there may be some minor cosmetic blemishes on them; appearing mostly in the form of visible crease marks along the folds (or occurring diagonally along on a corner - as is the case with the tax/King's Quest VI ad); and/or some minor yellowing on the pages brought on by overall age and general storage. The poster itself also has a few holes along the main crease fold; which is where the staples that held the page onto the magazine that it came in were originally pressed onto; and these holes of course may exhibit some slight wear and tear on them as well i.e. minor rips which can be seen as excess material poking out alongside the page and what have you. Both of the print outs measure approximately 8 & 5/8" wide by 11 & 3/16" tall. The one with the poster itself bears the aforementioned dimensions when folded... however, when the poster is completely opened up, it measures approximately 11 & 3/16" wide by 17" tall. As stated before, I'm not completely sure as to what publication the King's Quest IV poster and accompanying article with Roberta Williams came from, and what's a bit more interesting is that there's a bit of fine print right above the picture of Roberta which reads Reprinted by permission of QuestBusters TM Copyright 1988 Questbusters. It also looks like there was a bit more to this article, as it would have continued on page 20 underneath the Roberta Williams heading. Despite of the minor wear and tear on these vintage prints, I'm almost certain that anybody that's into retro computer gaming history will not want to pass this up, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
