Description: You're purchasing a rare and unusual early 20th C (I'd guess 1910s or earlier) vintage silver plate cigar humidor. The humidor is signed Derby silver company, quadruple plate 1539. This whimsical, rare and unusual piece features an egg shape with a removable cover that has a metal cigar pipe on the top and the words "contentment be yours". It has a deep reservoir to hold tobacco or it could also hold cigarettes. Attached to the egg shape is an adorable smaller egg with a cracked effect that is meant to hold the matches. The smaller egg is attached at the bottom to the larger egg by a wishbone in metal. This will clean up beautiful and is in great condition. I removed the tarnish on the top to demonstrate how spectacularly it will clean up. The sides and bottom would need a little more shining and it looks amazing as it is. I've included a video and pic with a beer can to give you an idea of scale. This is a super unusual piece for the discriminating collector.
