Description: Copied from an early American tall case clock found in the Henry Ford Museum made by famed clockmaker Simon Willard from Massachusetts. Clock features a hood bonnet that has a whale tale fretwork on either side with three brass spiral finials, dial door flanked by fluted columns with brass caps, dial has four corner painting, moon dial, signed dial Simon Willard, case has tombstone door with flanking fluted columns with brass caps supported by ogee bracket feet. Slight American Life Collection, Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village. Clock includes weights, pendulum, key and winder. Very limited production clock and very high end. Condition Report: Very Good Condition with some scuffs and scratches, a beautiful showpiece. The clock has not been tested and we do not guarantee the working conditions of clocks and highly recommend hiring a professional clock person to clean, service and install the clock after delivery.
