Singer Model 66 Sewing Machine 1930 Carrying Case Antique Bell Universal Motor

Description: Here is a vintage model (class) 66 Singer sewing machine from 1930, according to the serial number AC993527. Includes the wooden hard case. Used, working condition. This machine has the Bell Electronics universal motor with the Revco reverse feature. The pedal is from Bell-Air Products of Los Angeles. This machine is one of 23,609 allotted, built from 1/15/30 to 1/28/30 starting with number 976391 and ending with 999999. I wound a bobbin with the bobbin winder, and it works. I sewed some seams and played with the tension until I got it to sew a proper stitch. It could probably use a tune up by a professional. The carrying case is made of wood and the outer skin is peeling off. I would peel all the original skin off and maybe wrap it with a new skin if I were to keep it. Handle is strong. Latches are pitted and rusty but still strong. This machine is almost a hundred years old and is working; a real testament to how they built things back in the day. Buyer is responsible for postage.
