This is a relatively newer shape punch and makes an exquisite flower center. Coloring the tips and shaping it can add a dramatic and realistic center. This punch is referred to and recommended in the Paper Garden floral punch art books I have in the store. Because of the very intricate shape of this cut out it is recommended for use only on paper and not card stock. It can also be a little 'fussy' to use on some fibrous papers but the results are well worth the extra effort. Small punches are commonly sized at or near ½ inch, either length or height. They also are often used as centers for medium and large punch shapes. If you do scrapbooking, quilling, punchart, or card crafting, small punches will add a lot to your art projects. The small punches are most versatile as they can be used on their own to create designs or can be used in conjunction with other shapes or just as flower centers. The punched shapes can be used flat to create flower centers for scrapbooking or can be molded slightly with a stylus to create realistic looking flower centers for cards. When molding the small shapes it is best to use the medium point stylus, such as the one I sell in my store. The small punches can also be used to create interesting borders when punched along the edges of cards. All the punches I sell are brand new; however I do open them and punch one or two shapes to make sure they work properly.
