The exterior has a couple light draglines and scuffs, but no notable wear. The hinges are intact and the top opens and closes smoothly. The latch is functional. The finish on both the latch and hinges are intact. Practically all of the wood finish is intact, it has a rich dark color on top. The interior has a piece of foam on the top lid that looks like it had flocking at some point. It is very faint now. There are no rips or tears. The bottom piece is a plastic form fitted mold for a 4" barrel revolver with a Target grip. There is a little tool compartment with a lid. The flocking has worn off the tool lid. There are no chips, cracks or compressions in the plastic mold. The blue finish on the plastic is intact. Included with this box is a cleaning rod, brush and mop. They all look unused but are slightly discolored from the loose flocking material. This is a vintage wooden display box and tools that will be perfect for your favorite S&W revolver.
