It is copy #18 and signed by the artist Tadaaki Kuwayama and the translator Edward Scidensticker. This is a Sidney Shiff’s The Limited Editions Club book. The book was designed by Edward Scidensticker. It is the 1st title in the 52nd series. The interior is in fine condition. The pages are tight and clean. There are no tears, marks or stains. There are no former owners, names or bookplates. The goatskin leather cover is in good condition. The lower half of the cover is stained. The slipcase is in good condition. It shows a water stain half way down on both sides near the opening and on the bottom. I wish the careless prior owner, had left a note as to how cover and slipcase could get wet and interior stay in perfect condition. The book is 11 1/4 ” x 14 1/4” tall and 131 pages plus a 1 page colophon. There are 5 aquatints by Tadaaki Kuwayama.
