Description: These earrings are part of the Pop Art line and are called Popinho Medio. The Pop Art line was created by Sobral to represent the passage of Modernity into Post Modernity in the Western culture. These earrings are the Pastel version which features a multicolor pastel hued stripe motif. They measure 1 3/8" in total length and the diameter of the cube 5/8". This is part of a huge purchase from the Paris vintage inventory. I purchased whatever they had from the Pop Art Pastel so line so I do have a few other pieces plus many, many, many other items. The first United Nations Conference to address environmental degradation was held in Stockholm in 1972. Already at that time the designer Carlos Sobral was working with resin and creating new techniques and alternative products to reuse all the raw material he consumed in the production of his collections. All Sobral production strictly follows the current environmental standards; however, Sobral goes further by putting into practice the zero disposal of raw material.
