Sof Sole Planttar Fasciitis Orthotic Insole (arch support)

Description: The Sof Sole Plantar Fasciitis Orthotic Insole is the latest itreration of the company’s ¾ length hard shell otrhotic arch support. Originally (in the 1990’s) the ¾ length arch support was called the Sof Sole Motion Control Orthotic Arch Support, this product had a black and yellow arch support shell and was covered with a grey cushion cover. Later the shell was changed and made a little lower and the color of the top cover was changed to light blue. Around 2015 or so Sof Sole changed the top cover material to black but kept the same shell. Now the product has been modified once again. The new design reduces the size of the arch supports shell but that reduction should not be under estimated. The shell is strong and the four corner points of contact are strategically positioned to provide significant supports for such a small shell. In this design, Sol Sole borrowed from one of their earlier products called the Sof Sole Graphite Orthotic Arch Support (discontinued now but one of the best products they ever made). The shell does not go under the heel so the hard support is only in the arch and not directly under the heel. What is in the heel is a lot of cushion! The orange polyurethane foam is a closed cell foam so it is very durable and resilient. In the center of the heel is an added gel heel plug for unparalleled heel cushioning. Superior support combined with superior cushioning is what makes these arch supports particularly effective at addressing pain from plantar fasciitis. That being said, even if you are not suffering from plantar fasciitis this is still a great ¾ length arch support from Sof Sole and will work in any dress, casual or athletic shoe just as its ¾ length predecessors did. The Sof Sole comes in two sizes Men’s which fits size 8 – 12 and Women’s which fits size 6 – 11. One may ask, “How can a single size arch support fit that many shoe sizes?” and that is a valid question. The fact is that if you are the smallest or biggest shoe size in that range the arch support could be a little big or a little small for you and a different arch support product might fit better. That said, Sof Sole’s size ranges tend to favor smaller shoe sizes so the only people who should have any real concern with this product are the people with the larger shoe sizes.
