Description: This is a BetaCam SP 3CCD Model: BVW-300A ENG (Electric News Gathering) camera. It was originally likely used as a professional high level news camera. We’ve tested it to the best of our ability and here is what we’ve found:The is a Beta cam camera, meaning that it takes Beta tapes (not VHS). It records onto the beta tape (comes with one) but in theory you could also use an external SDI cord (there is an SDI video-out port) to an external monitor with an SSD (Solid State Drive). It does not come with a battery/charger, but does come with a power supply cord that allows you to work and use the camera while it is plugged in, also suggest using an extension cord to give you more range. You can also purchase a battery.All the buttons seem to be working: the “ISO” settings/GAIN are all working. Lens is a f/1.7 9-126mm Fujinon lens, which is super clean. One thing about the lens- there can be some focusing issues when aperture is wide open, it is hard to focus on infinity/further distances.This would be a great collectors item or for an experimental film project!
