Remote control works perfect, everything works as manufacturer intended it to. The rear speakers are wireless and communicate with main system via infra-red controller (small rectangular box shown on top of player see picture) there are two infra-red sending unit if you prefer one over the other. I will even throw in an extra sub-woofer/amplifier that I bought in case you would need to repair this discontinued hi-fi system and use it for spare parts if needed.
