Description: Up for sale here is this circuit board capacitor and transistor set for a Sony PS-X5 turntable. This is all the parts you need to rebuild the circuit board. The old capacitors start getting leaky and the transistors go bad, resulting in crazy speed issues. This will not completely repair a PS-X5, since they usually need a fair amount of lubrication. However, this will take care of 99% of the circuit-board-related issues. I had a PS-X5 that was running crazy fast, and once I replaced the caps and transistors it was running fine. This kit includes all 11 capacitors for the board, as well as 17 transistors to replace the ones that go bad. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. These are not cheap Made in China parts, they are extremely high-quality and they are what I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. I will include a basic instruction sheet, but replacing the capacitors and transistors is at least mildly complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. This kit is for the PS-X5 only--it will not work for other turntables. Please do not ask me if it will work for a different turntable, and please do not ask me for kits for other turntables.
