Description: Sony PVM-20M2MDU Professional Video Monitor For sale- a Sony PVM-20M2MDU Professional Video Monitor as pictured. The monitor was inside an endoscopic system cart, so it wasn’t in an editing situation where it might have been left on all day. You roll the cart in, turn it on, do the procedure and turn it off again. Screen shots were taken with a live S-Video input from a laser disc player; I don’t have the remote for the player to freeze the action. Pictures were taken with all the color controls sitting at 12 o’clock, so I didn’t juice the brightness to achieve the vibrant color you see onscreen. The case of the monitor is in very good condition, not perfect perhaps but very good. There is one place where the endoscopic sales rep glued his business card to the lower right side, I have gotten much of that off but I thought I would let the solvent sit for awhile and see if that made things any easier. If I keep hacking at it with a razor bladed eventually I will scratch it up or even take off some of the finish. When I have taken that process as far as I care to I will post a new picture of that side. Cleanup is complete, last picture now shows that side. A few scratches but no more business card. There is a lift up flap over the various lower panel controls, so if you have 3 year olds they can’t play with the knobs. Or co-workers with the mental acuity of a 3 year old. All items are sold as is with no warranty offered unless one is specifically stated. Any testing done will be explicitly stated in the listing and any accessory items will also be mentioned or pictured. If it isn’t pictured or mentioned you can assume it is not part of the sale. I have enabled Best Offer but will ONLY consider an offer that involves you coming to pick it up. That is hard and fast at this point, if you submit an offer and do not clarify that you are picking it up the offer will expire without me responding. If I have to spend 2 hours packing it up the Buy It Now price is the only price I will consider. The monitor is stored in 27966, but I can easily move it to my house a block off the beach (27948). Oddly enough people come here to vacation so maybe you can too. There is no charge for local pickup. If you DON’T WANT TO PICK IT UP it ships freight. Yeah, yeah I know it says fedex ground but having sized up and shipped two of these recently I can’t see my confidence in either fedex or UPS being more than 70%. All the weight is on the front face of the CRT, it’s going to get dropped and broken. It ships freight or it doesn’t ship. IF it ships freight it really needs to go to a business. If you try to deliver it to your residence the various premiums for residential are unbelievable at this point. The first one of these shipped to a residence in a suburb of Chicago, throw in some insurance it was close to $500. Second one to a business in upstate NY $250. Which brings me back to the ridiculous fedex ground calculated price. If I thought I could get it to you intact it would be less than half that. IF the calculated price is within $20 of what it will cost to ship it to you freight we will just stick to the calculated price. The guy in NY was within $19. You would be receiving a small pallet with a 24x20” box on top, cut the bands and the box and contents are 78 pounds, and the box has handles. Unless your grandmother is there to receive it that does not merit a lift gate delivery. If you are serious about buying the thing please contact me for a quote; I will need the zip code and the specifics of the delivery. I will assume it to be going to a business no lift gate required for delivery unless you specify otherwise. Please check out my other listings for more interesting vintage A/V equipment. I have some larger PVMs listed and I will soon get to a PVM-1943MD I think it is. That one and this one are absolutely the last of this size I have. If the item being sold here requires a standard modular computer style AC cord I no longer ship those automatically on the theory that everyone has a box full of them already. If you need one all you have to do is ask and it will be included in the sale. IF you do NOT ask for one until after the item ships it is no longer part of the sale and I will not ship one separately.
