Description: Soviet Army Air Force VVS Officer 1970s Uniform Visor Cap w/ Cockade Large Sz 58 A vintage and textbook example of a visor cap used by an officer of the Soviet Air Force, officially known as the VVS. This visor cap comes with an air force officer’s cockade and a golden chinstrap, meant to be worn alongside the standard service uniform. The exterior of the cap is completely free of blemishes with only light wear on the oilcloth sweatband by the Soviet officer. The diamond label is clear, with the stamp indicating that this cap was made in the Ladoga cap factory based in Leningrad. There is some dust on the back of the wool band, likely from storage in an attic, but should be easily cleaned off if so desired. The size stamp indicates a large size 58, a very uncommon size for Soviet visors and absolutely a desirable one. A beautiful Cold War cap. Reasonable offers are more than welcome. I am always open to communication or negotiation and am more than happy to do combined shipping.
