Slide the hold-down plate up and load the disk with microcentrifuge tubes. If less than a full load is used, space the tubes evenly. Let the hold-down plate slide onto the top of the tube caps. Holding the attachment by the ball handle, place the lower end of the shaft in contact with the vibrating vortexer cup or pad. The contents of the tubes will be agitated. It may be necessary to hold the plate down with one finger if agitation is forceful. Remove tubes by pushing them up from the bottom.
